
Falcons roll over Concordia, 16-9

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Junior Riley Thomas scored four goals to lead Air Force to a 16-9 win over Concordia in a non-conference water polo game on Saturday, Nov. 5, in Northwood, Calif.
Air Force, 8-15 overall, scored the first five goals of the game and had a 5-1 lead entering the second period as five different Falcons scored. Thomas and Eric Curia scored early in the second for a 7-1 lead and then Thomas scored two late in the second for a 10-3 lead at the half.
Thomas scored two more in the third as Air Force had a 13-7 lead after three. Riley Quinlan scored two in the fourth as the Falcons rolled to a 16-9 win.
Quinlan had three goals while Curia had two goals and two assists. Max Benson made eight saves for the Falcons.
Air Force plays its final regular-season game on Sunday, Nov. 6, as the Falcons meet Claremont-Mudd Scripps at noon in Claremont, Calif.
