Cowgirls hand Air Force loss in Mountain West Opener

Wyoming defeated Air Force, 7-0, at the Air Force Indoor Tennis Courts in the Mountain West opener for each school. The match was moved indoors due to weather.
The Cowgirls opened the match by winning the doubles point, taking victories at No. 1 and 2 to clinch the point. Wyoming swept the singles matches, winning five of six in straights sets. Meredith Laskey was the lone Falcon to force a third set, falling 7-6, 3-6, 10-8 at No. 6 to Miranda Talbert.
Wyoming improved to 8-9 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Air Force falls to 9-8 overall and 0-1 in the MW. The Falcons play Colorado Mesa later today before hosting a pair of matches on Sunday. Air Force plays Colorado State at Noon and CSU-Pueblo at 4 p.m. Sunday.
