Air Force Continues Action at El Macero Classic

EL MACERO, Calif. – The Air Force golf team shot a 302 during the second round of action at the El Macero Classic on Saturday, April 16. The Falcons, who are currently 41-over par with a two-round score of 617 (315-302), are tied for 11th with Northern Colorado in the overall team standings.
Junior Brenden Bone moved into the top 10 today, as he shot a one-over 73 in the second round to move up 10 spots in the individual field. Carding a two-round, five-over score of 149 (76-73), Bone is tied for 10th. Senior Michael Fan (three-over 75 on Saturday) and sophomore Dane Hankamer (four-over 76) are tied for 61st with matching 12-over par scores of 156 (81-75 for Fan; 80-76 for Hankamer), while junior Sunwoo Choi (six-over 78) and freshman Bryant Falconello (seven-over 79) are tied for 72nd with 14-over par scores of 158 (80-78 for Choi, 79-79 for Falconello.
Competing as an individual this weekend, freshman Tate Tatom shot one-over 73 on Saturday to move up 10 spots in the overall standings, as he is currently tied for 30th with an eight-over par 152 (79-73).
Texas Tech continues to lead the team standings, as it shot a seven-over par 295 on Saturday to hold a two-round total of 586 (291-295). Ryan Books of TCU, the only competitor under par after two rounds, holds the individual lead with a two-under 142 (72-70).
The Falcons conclude the regular season tomorrow (April 17) morning, when they return to the El Macero Country Club the final 18 holes of the El Macero Classic.
