COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five members of the Air Force cross country team were named Mountain West Scholar Athletes, the conference office announced this afternoon (July 8). The five cross country runners were represented by one senior, one junior and three freshmen.
Senior Daniel Shellhouse (3.53, humanities), junior Samantha Skold (3.53, biology) and freshmen Mickey Davey (3.74, electrical engineering), Noah Riley (3.50, international history) and Parker Seale (3.72, systems engineering) represented the Falcons' cross country team on the conference list, which included a league-record 734 student-athletes from across the Mountain West's 11 schools.
Skold earned Scholar-Athlete honors for the second time, while the other four were first-time honorees.
