U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - The Air Force football team had some special visitors at Wednesday's practice, as the United States men's basketball wheelchair team stopped by for a visit. Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun greeted the team and wished them luck as they head to their competition in Rio next month. Calhoun, the coaching staff and the entire team then went one-by-one along the team to shake hands and wish them luck in Rio. Calhoun invited two team members to throw passes with the team during a drill once practice started. Following practice, Calhoun spent a few more minutes with the team before being presented with a signed jersey from the Paralympics team. The practice ended with the entire team chanting "USA" in honor of the special guests.
"It was very inspiring," Air Force senior Sam Byers said. "What those guys do and how hard they work on a daily basis in truly inspiring. I'm honored that they would be interested in what we're doing considering what they are getting ready to do."
