Air Force With 2-0 Win At Green Bay

Air Force women's soccer posted a convincing 2-0 win against Green Bay (0-3-1) Sunday afternoon Aldo Santaga Stadium in Green Bay, Wisc. The win lifted the Falcons to 1-1-1 on the season.
Air Force had goals from freshman Bree Bezdek (38) and senior Ashley Greco (86) in a dominant team performance. The Falcons were on the offensive for most of the match, holding a 23-5 advantage in shots and 4-1 on corner kicks.
Bezdek scored her second goal of the season in the 38th minute, taking a pass from junior Lizzy Denton and scoring to the left side of the net. Greco gave AFA an insurance goal in the 86th on a header. Greco scored off passes from senior Meredith Reisinger and sophomore Kaitlyn Cook.
Ten different Falcons attempted shots on the day. Junior Brooke Rittmann had eight shots, six on goal.
Junior Alex Kahalley posted the shutout in goal. Kahalley had to record just one save on the day.
The Falcons are off from competition next week. The team will host a Blue/Silver scrimmage as part of Parent's Weekend this coming Friday, Sept. 2, at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
Air Force returns to game-action on Sunday, Sept. 11 at Weber State.
