
Falcons fall at Princeton, 13-3

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Princeton raced out to a 5-0 lead in the second quarter as the 11th-ranked Tigers defeated No. 15 Air Force, 13-3, in the first round of the Princeton Water Polo Invitational, Friday, Sept. 9, in Princeton, N.J.
Riley Thomas and Eric Curia each scored late in the second quarter as the Falcons trailed 6-2 at the half. Princeton then scored seven unanswered goals through the third and fourth quarters for a 13-2 lead late in the fourth. Falcon senior Brett Fogelberg scored the final goal of the game to make the final 13-3.
Zach Kamai led the Falcons with three steals while Luke Andres had the Falcons' only assist and added a steal as well.
The exhibition game scheduled with No. 1 ranked UCLA was cancelled. Air Force (1-2 overall) returns to action with a pair of games in the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Falcons face George Washington at 9:15 am ET and Harvard at 2:15 pm ET.
