
Air Force Fencing Announces 2016-17 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing released its 2016-17 schedule, announced today by head coach Abdel Salem. Air Force opens the season by hosting the Nick Toth Open Sept. 24-25 at the Academy.
Prior to the Nick Toth Open, the Falcons will compete against each other at an open scrimmage Sat.-Sun., Sept. 17-18, at the USAFA Fencing Gym.
The Nick Toth Open is Air Force's lone home event, taking place at the Center Gym.
The Falcons will take part in several North American Cup Tournaments from October to January. The first NAC will be Oct. 7-10 in Detroit, Mich. Air Force also competes in the Denver Open Oct. 15-16.
Air Force competes in the Junior NAC in Nov. 11-14 in Milwaukee, Wisc. Decembers' competition includes a NAC tournament, Dec. 2-5 in Richmond, Va. and one Dec. 10-11 at a site to be determined.
The Falcons open 2017 at the NAC tournament Jan. 6-9 in Columbus, Ohio. Air Force will also compete at the Western Invitational Jan. 15 in Pasadena, Calif.
Air Force has a busy February, traveling to the Northwstern Invitational (Feb. 4-5) in Evanston, Ill, the Duke Invitational (Feb. 11-12) in Durham, N.C. and the Junior Olympics (Feb. 17-20) in Kansas City, Mo.
The 2017 NCAA Regionals are March 11-12 in Palo Alto, Calif., and the NCAA Championships are March 23-26 in South Bend, Ind. The Div. I Championships are April 21-24 in Baltimore, Md.
