
Falcons defeat Seattle in final home dual of season

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's swimming team defeated Seattle, 132.00-85.00, in a dual meet Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Academy's Cadet Natatorium. The Falcons won three duals on the weekend and improved to 7-4 overall this season. The dual was the final home meet for head coach Casey Converse, who is retiring at the end of the season after coaching 29 seasons at the Air Force Academy.
The women opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay as the team of Autumn Wolfgramm, Shayle Finnesand, Elise Hart and Tianna Jorgenson won with a time of 1:46.69. Air Force won the next three events as Gaby Miller won the 1000 free with (11:06.54), Genevieve Miller won the 200 free (1:55.24) and Jinan Andrews won the 50 free (24.24). Freshman Jayden Glover won the 400 IM (4:40.73) while fellow freshman Heidi Schellin was third (4:48.75).
In the 100 fly, Esther Min was second (58.73) and Elise Hart was third (1:00.10). Andrews then won her second event of the day, taking the 100 free in a time of 53.05. Genevieve Miller won her second event of the day, posting a 5:10.62 in the 500 free. In the final event of the day, the Falcons won the 400 free relay as the team of Genevieve Miller, Brianna Mount, Jorgenson and Andrews swam a time of 3:34.16.
In diving, Kayla Wofford won the 3-meter with a score of 265.95.
Air Force is back in action with a dual meet against UNLV, Saturday, Jan. 21, in Las Vegas, Nev.
