Air Force falls to Abilene Christian

Abilene Christian defeated Air Force, 4-3, Saturday night in a non-conference tennis match at the Academy Indoor Tennis Courts to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season.
ACU won the doubles point to open the match and take a 1-0 lead. The Falcons tied it with a 6-4, 6-2 win by Luke Sanderson at No. 4 singles. The Wildcats answered with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles by Nico Agritelley before Lucas Fumagalli tied it again with a win at No. 1 singles. Fumagalli came back after dropping the first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. ACU took the lead with a 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 win at No. 3 singles by Jon Sheehy over Max Olson. Air Force again tied the score a 3-3 when Mack Galvin beat Paul Domanski, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. The Wildcats won it at No. 5 singles when Hunter Holman beat Tadhg Collins, 7-6 (6), 6-1.
Air Force finished the opening weekend with a 2-1 record.
