Air Force downs Metro State, 6-1

Air Force defeated Metro State, 6-1, Friday morning in the first of two non-conference men's tennis matches at the Cadet Gymnasium Indoor Tennis Courts at the Academy. The Falcons host Denver at 5 p.m. in the second match.
Metro State opened the match by winning the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles. Air Force's lone win came at No. 2 with Lucas Fumagalli and Isacc Perez posting a 6-1 win over Keenan Kaltenbacher and Sam Stember.
The Falcons swept all six singles matches to clinch the win. Fumagalli was a 7-5, 7-5 winner at No. 1 over Josh Graetz while Max Olson won, 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 over Joey Tscherne at No. 2. Perez added a 6-4, 6-2 over Alejandro Martinez-Morilla at No. 3, Tadhg Collins a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 4, over Stember, Mack Galvin a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 over Kaltenbacher and David Mottice a 6-4, 6-1 win over Calum Hayes at No. 6.
The victory improved the Falcons to 4-5 this season.
