
Falcons Place 12 on Academic All-Conference Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Twelve members of the Air Force cross country team earned Academic All-Mountain West honors, the league office recently announced. Represented by seven men and five women, the cross country squad collected the second-most honors of any sport at the Academy during the 2016 fall season.
Senior Matt Dorsey became the 14th Falcon in program history to earn academic all-conference honors all four years, while junior Katie Burnham held the highest GPA (3.94) of the Academy's 36 total selections

A conference-record 614 student-athletes were named to the fall's academic all-conference team. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and volleyball.
To be eligible for the conference's academic all-conference award, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a significant contributor on their athletic team.
