Golfers in eighth after two rounds at Cowboy Classic

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - After two rounds at the annual Wyoming Cowboy Classic, the Air Force golf team is tied for eighth place in the 18-team field, Monday, April 10, at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz.
After shooting a 291 in the first round, the Falcons shot a 292 in round two for a 36-hole total of 583 (+7). Long Beach State is in first place (-9), while UC Santa Barbara is second (-5), Kansas is third (-3), Wichita State is fourth (E ), Sacramento State is fifth (+1), Colorado State is sixth (+2) and UC Davis is seventh (+4). Air Force is one stroke ahead of league rival Wyoming and two ahead of MW foe Utah State.
Senior Brenden Bone is tied for third with a five-under-par 139. He shot a 69 in the first round and 70 in the second. Bone's 69 ties as his best of the season. He also shot 69 on Sept. 29 in the final round of the Mark Simpson/CU Invitational. It also tied as the eighth best round of any golfer over two rounds of the Cowboy Classic. Senior Sunwoo Choi is tied for 15th with a one-under par 143 (71-72).
The final 18 holes of the two-day tournament conclude on Tuesday, April 11, in Chandler, Ariz.
