AFA Spencer Cap seated first in 3-position rifle

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. (April 10, 2017) – Following day 1 of the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Air Force cadet Spencer Cap (Cranbury, N.J.) leads in the Men's Three-Position Rifle. Logan Ogden (Galway, N.Y.) is seated in third place.
On Monday, Cap finished the first day with a score of 1163 in men's smallbore. Ogden had the third-highest score at 1153. Nick Learn (South Range, Wis.) finished the day with 1108 points.
In day 1 of the 50m Prone Rifle, Cap's total was 618.6 followed by Ogden with a 608.4, and Learn's 602.7.
The men's smallbore and prone competitions continue throughout the day, April 11. Day three, Wednesday (April 12), continues with the smallbore relays and the Final at 3:30 p.m. The prone Final is at 5:30 p.m. Mtn.
