
Falcons shoot third best round of season at MW Championshps

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Air Force golf team shot its third-best team round of the season with a two-under par 286 as the Falcons remained in eighth place after day two at the Mountain West Conference Championships, Saturday, April 22, at the Omni National Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. Air Force's 286 tied as the fourth best round of any team on day two.
Colorado State shot an eight-under par 280 in the second round to jump into first place with a two-round total of 563 (-13). Boise State and UNLV are tied for second (-11) while San Diego State is fourth (-9).
Senior Sunwoo Choi shot a four-under par 68 in round two and is tied for fifth place overall at 140 (-4). Choi had two eagles on the day, No. 2 and No. 10, and added two birdies as well. His 68 tied as his second best round of the season. Freshman Joshua Wu came in at 71 (-1) in round two and is tied for 15th at 143 (-1). Andy Germann is the third Falcon, shooting 73-74 to tie for 35th place at 147 (+3).
The final round of the MW Championships begin at 7 am PT on Sunday, April 23, at the Omni National Golf Club.
