Air Force places two on Academic All-American teams

Air Force recently graduated senior Lucas Fumagalli from men's tennis and sophomore Kyle Haak from hockey were named to the College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division I At-Large team, as announced today by the organization. Fumagalli was named second-team while Haak was a third-team selection. This season marks the third straight year Fumagalli has been named to the prestigious team while Haak is the first Air Force sophomore to earn the award since Fumagalli in 2015.
Air Force is the only school from the Mountain West represented on the three teams and its two selections are the most among the three service academies. Fumagalli graduated with a 3.85 grade point average with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was selected for the Euro-NATO pilot training which is one of the most elite pilot training programs in the armed forces. Haak has a 3.95 GPA and is majoring in physics.
