Air Force Downed By Furman In Final Exhibition Match

Air Force women's soccer dropped a 4-1 exhibition match at Furman on Saturday morning in Greenville, SC. Freshman Brittany Mahowald led the Falcons with the goal.
After Furman went up 1-0 on a goal in the 18th minute, Mahowald tied the match up with a goal in the 32nd minute. Sophomore Sydney Rickert assisted on the score.
Furman netted three second-half goals to pull away with the win.
Senior Alex Kahalley recorded four saves in 45 minutes in goal. Freshman Danielle Katz had one save in 45 minutes in goal.
The Falcons return to action Friday Aug. 18, opening the season at Denver as part of the 2017 Colorado Cup.
