Falcons travel to MSPF Invitational to face nation's top teams

The 16-team tournament features 11 of the top 12 teams in the nation
THIS WEEK: Air Force (4-9, 2-2 WWPA) travels to Palo Alto, Calif., for the annual Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Invitational, Oct. 12-14. The Falcons will open the tournament against third-ranked USC on Friday, Oct. 12, at 1:30 pm PT. The remainder of the schedule will be based upon results of the games. The 16-team tournament features 11 of the top 12 teams in the nation.
SERIES RECORDS: Air Force and USC will meet for the 21st time in the history of the series that began in 1982. The teams last met in 2014 when the Trojans defeated the Falcons, 20-7.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: USC enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed and is ranked third in the nation in the Collegiate Water Polo national poll. The Trojans are 18-1 overall this season, having lost to Stanford last weekend, 13-11, in Stanford.
