
Women's Swimming & Diving Drops Conference Dual to Wyoming

The Falcons had one event win, as well as six runner-up finishes
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team opened Mountain West Conference dual action with a 166-132 defeat to rival Wyoming, Friday evening, Oct. 19, at Cadet Natatorium.
The Falcons picked up one event win on the day, while notching a handful of runner-up finishes across the board. Freshman Evelyn Johnson had the highlight in the 200 breast, as she placed first with a time of 2:25.46, while her teammate junior Heidi Schellin took second with a 2:26.65.
Air Force finished with six other silver efforts, starting with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay. In the 200 free, junior Autumn Wolfgramm took second with a 1:56.60. Fellow junior Esther Min had a pair of second place finishes in her specialty, the fly, In the 100, she clocked in with a 56.94, while in the 200, she had a 2:09.57.
In the 50 free sprint, Wolfgramm had her second silver finish, as she touched in with a 24.71. Finally in the 100 free, freshman Lia Campbell took second with a 54.10. On the diving board, freshman Krystal Irwin was the Falcons' top finisher in both the 1 and 3-meter, as she took fourth in both.
The Falcons will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon, Oct. 20, for a quad meet with Colorado Mesa, the Colorado School of Mines, as well as Vanderbilt. Action at Cadet Natatorium, which will run alongside the men, is set to begin at 1 p.m.
