
Tatom named to All-American Scholar Team

Senior Tate Tatom earns Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors
U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force senior golfer Tate Tatom has been named to the Srixon/Cleveland All-America scholar team, as announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Tatom, from Big Sky, Mont., carries a 3.36 GPA as a management major. As a junior, Tatom played in all 33 rounds and led the team with a 73.67 stroke average. He had 13 rounds at par or better, with a season best 69 that he matched three times during the season. In the season opening event, the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, he shot a 213 (-3) to place 17th. The next week, he placed 12th at the CSU Ram Masters, his highest finish of the season, with a 211 (+1).
