Air Force senior defensive lineman Mosese Fifita has been selected for the 2019 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year watch list, announced by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame. The award goes annually to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player that epitomizes great ability and integrity. Fifita is one of 62 players from 32 different schools selected.
High School – Lettered four years in wrestling and three in football … team captain in football … two-time first-team all-area honoree … earned all-conference honors three times … NCWA national champion in wrestling with a 14-0 record … team captain for wrestling … went 49-0 and won the state championship as a senior … was a district champion … took third in the region and third in state as a junior.
Personal – Parents are Latu and Amanda Fifita … one of four children … nickname is Mo … majoring in business management … attended the USAFA Prep School and played football and wrestled … was a NCWA national champion in wrestling … would like to work in acquisitions or contracting in the Air Force … completed Operations Air Force and was on the cadet staff for survival training in the summer of 2018 … was part of the cadet leadership team during summer seminar and was on the cadet leadership cadre during Basic Cadet Training last summer.
