Falcons to Face Nation's Elite at Wisconsin

The 21st-ranked women are one of 40 nationally-ranked men's and women's teams at Wisconsin.
The Air Force cross country team, which includes the 21st-ranked women and a men's squad that's receiving votes in the latest national poll, closes out the regular season this Friday (Oct. 18), when it travels to Madison, Wis., for the 11th-annual Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational – a meet that is scheduled to feature two-thirds of the nation's top-ranked programs.
MEET INFORMATION
The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, presented by Under Armour, will be held on the Thomas Zimmer Championships Cross Country Course, which is adjacent to University Ridge Golf Course. The women will complete a 6K course, while the men will follow with an 8K race. The "B" races will kick off the day at 11:00 a.m. (men to follow at 11:40 a.m.), while the Championship races are slated to begin with the women's 6K at 12:20 p.m., and conclude with the men's 8K race at 1:00 p.m. The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack, while live results will be provided by PT Timing (direct links to both can be found on the schedule page at GoAirForceFalcons.com).
WHO TO WATCH
A total of 14 Falcons are entered in the Nuttycombe Invitational. Colin Dwyer, Sam Gilman, Scott Johnson, Will Kitzhaber, Alec Schrank, Patrick Sullivan and Justin Weber will represent the men's team, while Lindsey Blanks, Teri Brady, Maddie Edwards, Mikayla Gallagher, Jenna Kill, Mahala Norris and Swathi Samuel will represent the women.

A total of 36 teams are scheduled to compete on both the men's and women's sides. Both fields feature 20 of the top-30 teams in their respective USTFCCCA rankings, including the nation's top-ranked squads.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION
There is no spectator parking at Zimmer, University Ridge or along the roads surrounding the course – all fans should park at Blackhawk Church (9620 Brader Way) in Middleton. Parking is available on the upper level behind the church and a shuttle will provide transportation to-and-from the cross country course for $5 round-trip. Shuttles will begin at 9:00 a.m., and conclude one hour after the final race has finished.
WOMEN RANKED NO. 21 IN LATEST USTFCCCA POLL; MEN RECEIVING VOTES
With no new national poll this week, the women remain at No. 21 in the USTFCCCA Division I Women's National Coaches Poll and the men continue to receive vote.
THE NEXT COURSE
Air Force begins the championship portion of its season on Friday, Nov. 1, when it travels to Logan, Utah, for the 2019 Mountain West Cross Country Championships. The meet, which is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. (MT), will be held at the Steve and Donna Reeder Cross Country Course on the Utah State campus.
