
Women's Swimming and Diving Race Past Colorado Mesa and Mines

The Falcons won 12 of the 16 events on the evening
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team dominated a tri-meet with the Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Mesa, defeating the Orediggers 206-84, and the Mavericks, 178.5-117.5, Friday evening, Nov. 1, at the Cadet Natatorium.
In the 16-event meet, the Falcons claimed gold in 12 of the events, including a relay, two diving events, and nine individual wins.
Starting with the 200 medley relay, seniors Heidi Schellin and Autumn Wolfgramm, as well as junior Kylie Stronko and freshman Sefilina Maile took first.
Maile was AF's biggest winner on the evening, as she claimed gold in the 200 free, 100 free, and 200 IM as well. Wolfgramm and Schellin also had multiple individual wins, Wolfgramm in the 50 free and 100 fly, while Schellin had a wins in the 100 and 200 breast.
Other individual event wins came from Stronko in the 100 back, freshman Luci Lozano in the 200 fly, and sophomore Cristin von Schlag in both of the diving events, the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Air Force will be right back in action next weekend, Nov. 8-9, when they head down to Phoenix to battle Grand Canyon, New Mexico State, and Idaho in a quad meet. Start time on that Friday is set for 3 p.m. MT.
