Air Force Fencing Competes at November Junior NAC

Air Force fencing competed at the November Junior North American Cup (NAC) in Milwaukee,Wisc., which ran from Nov. 8-11. The Falcons had a pair of top 15 finishes out of fields of over 300 competitors.

Sophomore Nestor Levin and freshman Matthew Han both placed 13th in their respective weapons. Levin took 13th in the Junior Men's Foil, out of a field of 337. Han placed 13th in the Junior Men's Epee out of a field out 299.

Freshman Jose McGoff-Medero also competed in the Men's Junior Foil, placing 130th.

On the women's side, sophomore Erin Shea competed in the Junior Women's Saber. Out of a field of 214, Shea placed 65th.

"It was a tough competition but the cadets stepped up and fought hard," head coach Omar Elgeziry said. "It's a good tune up for the Penn Elite Invitational next weekend."

Air Force returns to action at the Penn Elite Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Philadelphia, Pa.
