Women's Swimming & Diving Heads to Phill Hansel Invite

The Falcons will square off with 12 other teams
HOUSTON, Texas – The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team returns to the pool this weekend, Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 21-23, for the Phill Hansel invitational, hosted by the University of Houston. Action at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center will begin with prelims at 9 a.m. MT on each day and will be followed by finals starting at 5 p.m. MT Thursday and Friday. Finals will begin at 2 p.m. MT on Saturday.
Air Force will compete alongside some top teams, including host Houston, Mountain West rivals Nevada, Colorado State, and New Mexico, as well as UC Davis, Rice, Tulane, Florida Gulf Coast, Northern Colorado, Washington State, North Texas, and Nebraska-Omaha.
This will be the second time this season the Falcons are swimming in Houston, as they attended the Rice Invitational earlier this year. There, they placed fifth with 289.5 team points. Last season at the Phill Hansel Invite, The Falcons finished with a team score of 450 over the three-day event to finish in ninth place. The host Cougars of Houston won the team title with 1,727 points. The Falcons finished ahead of Northern Colorado (415), Incarnate Word (274) and North Texas (158).
