Rifle team beats Alaska in a conference match

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Nov. 24 - The Air Force rifle team, now 3-0 in conference matches, beat Alaska today, 4679-4644. The Falcons' Peter Fiori was the overall top individual with an aggregate score of 1176. Six other Falcons finished in the top individual standings.

Small bore standings: Fiori won the small bore match with a score of 588. Jordan Williams followed with a 581. Nate Peterson scored a 577, followed by Logan Ogden with a 574. Devin Schwindt rounded up the Falcons qualifying scores with a 568. The Falcons won the small bore match 2320-2313.

Air Rifle standings: In the air gun, Ogden led all shooters with a 595. Maliya Hillman, Williams and Fiori tied with 588's. Peterson's score of 585 helped to earn the Falcons the win 2359-2331.

The rifle team is now 11-1, 3-0 in the Patriot Rifle Conference. The Falcons have concluded the fall season. In December, several of the cadets will go on to compete in the Winter Air Gun matches at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
