Air Force Earns 10th Victory With 20-6 Win Over Wyoming

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force football posted a 20-6 win over Wyoming to cap the 2019 regular season on a frigid and windy Saturday afternoon at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons won its seventh straight game and improved to 10-2 on the season and 7-1 in Mountain West play.
The Falcons' 10 wins ties as the third-most in program history and the most since 1998. Air Force posted its first 10-win regular season under head coach Troy Calhoun. In addition, the win was the 400th in program history.
The Air Force defense had a spirited effort, forcing three turnovers in addition to a blocked punt. Senior Jeremey Fejedelem had a pair of interceptions to go with 10 tackles. The Falcons held Wyoming to just 218 yards of offense for the day.
Donald Hammond III completed 5 of 6 passes for 121 yards, throwing and running for touchdowns. Receiver Benjamin Waters hauled in three catches for 100 yards and a TD. Kadin Remsburg led the run game with 63 yards on 14 carries.
Air Force scored the lone points of the first-half on a one-yard Hammond rushing TD on the first play of the second quarter to put the Falcons up 7-0 at the half.
Fejedelem's first interception led to a Jake Koehnke field goal in the third quarter to put the Falcons ahead 10-0.
Wyoming finally got on the board in the fourth quarter, as kicker Cooper Rothe made a 26 yard field goal with 13:08 to play.
Fejedelem's second interception also led to another Koehnke field goal, this one from 27 yards to put the Falcons up 13-3 with 5:31 to play.
The Cowboys kept the game close with another Rothe field goal to make it a 13-6 Air Force lead with 2:23 to play.
Air Force then put the game away on a 75-yard touchdown pass from Hammond to Waters just seconds later.
Air Force finished with 162 yards on the ground and 142 passing for 305 yards.
