
Wu leads Falcons on final day in Arizona

Junior Josh Wu shot a final round 71 and was the top Falcon in the tournament
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Junior Josh Wu led the Air Force golf team on the final day of the Loyola Intercollegiate, Monday, Feb. 25, at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. Wu shot a final round 71, his second-best road round of the season. Wu was the top Falcon in the three-day, 54-hole tournament, with a 221 (+5) to tie for 38th overall.
Junior Anson Kuznik, who shot a three-under 69 in the second round, shot a three-day total of 222 (+7) to tie for 48th. Freshman Luke Trujillo shot a 226, freshman Jonathan Farmer shot 230 and sophomore Kyle Spencer shot a 232. Senior Tate Tatom, competing as an individual, tied for 33rd at 220.
UAB shot a 17-under par 271 on the final day to come from behind and take the team title with an 846 (-18). Elon was second at 859, UConn was third at 861 and Loyola Maryland, the host school, was fourth at 862. Air Force placed 17th at 894.
Air Force is now off until the Lamkin Classic, March 11-12, in San Diego, Calif.
