
Falcons to Open Outdoor Season at Jerry Quiller Classic

The two-day meet will be held March 15-16 at Potts Field in Boulder.
The outdoor portion of the 2019 track and field season gets underway this weekend (March 15-16), when Air Force travels to Boulder for the annual Jerry Quiller Classic.
MEET INFORMATION
The Jerry Quiller Classic will be held at Potts Field on the University of Colorado's East Campus (intersection of Innovation Drive and Discovery Drive). A complete list of events is listed below. Live results are scheduled to be available (a direct link is located on the Falcons' schedule page) and Air Force highlights will be available on the team's Twitter account (@af_trackfield). Admission is $8 for all spectators ages 12-and-over on Saturday and be advised that CU has a "clear bag policy" at all athletic events.

MEN RANKED 20TH IN PROGRAM OF THE YEAR STANDINGS
The Air Force men enter the outdoor season ranked 20th in the USTFCCCA John McDonnell Program of the Year award standings. Backed by their 20th-place finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships and the tie for 56th that Michael Rhoads gave them at the NCAA Indoor Championships, the Falcons currently have 77 points.
LOOK WHO'S BACK: OUTDOOR EDITION
Air Force's roster includes one outdoor All-American (Jaci Smith: 10,000-meter run), one NCAA finalist (Kathryn Tomczak: pole vault), eight NCAA qualifiers (Jacob Bilvado: 5000-meter run; Mickey Davey: 10,000-meter run; Micah Fontaine: 110-meter hurdles; Sam Hinegardner: high jump; Smith: 5000-meter run/10,000-meter run; Parker Spearman: javelin throw; Connor Stevens: pole vault; Tomczak: pole vault), one Mountain West outdoor champion (Tomczak: pole vault), two members of the MW championship 4x400-meter relay (Sedacy Walden, Zachary Dicken) and the record holder of two Academy standards (Smith: 5000-meter run/10,000-meter run).

The Falcons will host just one outdoor meet this season at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex ... the Air Force Twilight Open will take place on Friday, May 3.
