Men’s Tennis Falls To Weber State, 4-3

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis fell to Weber State 4-3 Sunday morning at the indoor tennis courts. The Falcons suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 5-1.

Air Force opened with the doubles point win with back-to-back wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Jamie Bautista and Paul Hendrix defeated Van Wyk/Serafim 6-4 at No. 1 and Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman beat Barr/Li 6-4 at No. 2 for the doubles point.

Weber State went 4-2 in singles play to rally to the win. The Wildcats took the singles matches at No. 1-4.

Weber State won No. 3, No. 2 and No. 1 to take a 3-1 lead. The Falcons rallied back with a win at No. 5 to pull to within one. The Wildcats won at No. 4 to claim the team win. Air Force also closed out with a win at No. 6.

Hendrix fell at No. 1 to Kris Van Wyk in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. Galvin fell to Arthur Serafim at No. 2 in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

Bo-Han Li defeated Jordan Azuma 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3. Sebastian Buxman defeated Waldman in three sets, 7-5, 6-7, 6-2 at No. 4.

Bautista won at No. 5 over Brendan Barr 6-4, 6-4. McKendree won at No. 6 over Killian Sinclair 6-0, 6-4.

Air Force returns to action Feb. 7 at Denver.
