List of jobs in the Air Force:
Pilot (T-6, T-38, C-130J)
Current Job:
Instructor Pilot for the C-130J (graduated from instructor school on Oct 9, 2020)
Favorite Hobbies:
Volleyball, music, fishing and traveling with my husband and our dog Nox!
While at USAFA, what was your favorite thing/memory with the volleyball team:
I have so many! But, if I had to choose one, it would be going to our coaches' houses to eat home-cooked meals, relax, and hang out. It was awesome getting to leave school for an evening and hang out with the team.
After graduation, what do you miss most about the volleyball team:
Being on the road with my girls! I loved traveling to games with the team ... that's how we got to know each other. We had time to kick back, spend time away from the hill to clear our heads and play our favorite game.
Advice for the volleyball team:
"Embrace the suck!" (courtesy of Louella Maxwell) College volleyball is the hardest, but best, thing I've had the honor of being a part of. Find enjoyment in it all, even when it's hard and exhausting. Because when it's over, it's over, and you WILL miss it. So enjoy it and embrace all aspects of being part of a team. USAFA Volleyball is an incredibly special team, with incredibly special people.
Is there anything else you want to share:
The Air Force has a lot to offer. Find a mentor to help guide you on your career path. Talk to people and listen to their experiences. Don't be afraid to branch out and go for those different jobs and assignments, it goes by so fast!
