Five Falcons Set to Represent Air Force at USNT Open Tryouts

The three-day event begins next Friday (Feb. 21) in Colorado Springs.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Five members of the Air Force volleyball team will participate in the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts, which will be held Feb. 21-23 at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Air Force will be represented by three sophomores – Vittoria Juarez, Bailey Keith, Lily Landis – and two freshmen – Sarah Markwardt, BrookeLyn Messenger – during the three-day event at the OPTC. Keith participated in the tryouts last year, while Juarez, Landis, Markwardt and Messenger will be making their first appearances.
The Falcons are some of the 214 athletes from 94 colleges participating in the USA Volleyball-hosted tryouts that will help fill spots on the U.S. Women's National Team and in the U.S. Collegiate National Team program.
Each athlete will compete in one tryout session on Friday, one morning and one afternoon session on Saturday, and one morning session on Sunday. The tryouts will be led by three-time Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Olympic Hall of Famer Karch Kiraly, as well as members of the U.S. Women's National Team staff.
