Men’s Tennis Sweeps Idaho State and Seward County

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis swept a Sunday doubleheader, defeating Idaho State and Seward County College at the Indoor Tennis Courts. The Falcons improved to 7-2 on the season with the 5-2 scores in both duals.
In the morning, Air Force defeated Idaho State 5-2.
Idaho State took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles. Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree opened with a win at No. 3 oer Kyler Hartman/Yohann Prinsen 6-0, before the Falcons fell at No. 1 and No. 2.
The Falcons rallied back in singles, going 5-1 for the win. Justin Waldman won the first singles match at No. 4 over Gary Rendek 6-2, 6-2. Galvin gave the Falcons the lead with a win at No. 2 over Fynn Lose 6-3, 6-3.
Paul Hendrix won at No. 1 over Lukas Ridemar 6-4, 7-6 (6). After Jordan Azuma fell at No. 3 to Patrik Trhac 6-4, 1-6, 7-5, the Falcons clinched the dual as Sean McKendree won at No. 6 over Kyler Hartman 6-0, 6-3. Jamie Bautista also won at No. 5 over Yohann Prinsen 6-4, 6-3.
In the nightcap against Seward County, the Falcons also won 5-2 to complete the sweep.
Air Force took the doubles point with wins at No. 3 and No. 1 doubles. The duo of McKendree and Galvin opened with a win at No. 3 over Mauricio Gonzalez/Pierre Copin 6-0. Bautista and Hendrix won at No. 1 over Valentin Ortiz/Karl Wurth 6-4.
Air Force went 4-2 in singles play.
Seward County tied it up with a win at No. 3 singles, before Air Force won three in a row to clinch the dual. Galvin won at No. 2 over Van Huffel 6-4, 6-2 to put the Falcons back ahead at 2-1. Waldman won at No. 4 over Paulo Castillo-Martinez 6-2, 6-4. Hendrix clinched the dual with a win at No. 1 over Valentin Ortiz 6-3, 3-6 (7-5). Bautista also won at No. 5 over Wurth 7-6 (2), 6-4.
Air Force returns to action next weekend against #1 USC and a neutral-site dual against Army West Point. The Falcons take on USC on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Army on Sunday, Feb. 23. Both duals will be in Los Angeles, Calif.
