Men’s Tennis Falls To #1 USC

Air Force men's tennis fell to #1 USC, 7-0, Saturday morning at Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The Falcons dropped to 7-3 on the season.

The Falcons faced two ranked doubles teams and four ranked singles players on the day.

Air Force's top performance came from its #1 doubles duo of Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista. The duo led #49 Mor Bulis/Brandon Holt 5-3 before the match was suspended with USC claiming the doubles point with its wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman fell at No. 2 to #50 Stefan Dostanic/Riley Smith 6-3. Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree fell at No. 3 to Bradley Frye/Ryder Jackson 6-2.

In singles, Waldman fell at No. 4 singles to #78 Dostanic 6-2, 6-0. Galvin fell at No. 2 to #1 Daniel Cukierman 6-4, 6-4. USC took the dual as Hendrix fell at No. 1 to #49 Holt 6-2, 6-3.

The Falcons also fell at No. 5 as Bautista lost to Frye 6-2, 7-6 (2). McKendree fell at No. 6 to Jake Sands 6-4, 6-1.

Air Force returns to action tomorrow, taking on Army in a neutral-site dual back at USC. The dual begins at 11 am PT.
