Men’s Tennis Victorious Over Army, 4-2

Air Force men's tennis defeated Army West Point, 4-2, Sunday morning in a neutral-site dual at USC's Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The Falcons improved to 8-3 on the season.
The Falcons were able knock off the Black Knights (6-6) for the second-straight season.
Air Force opened by taking the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman won at No. 2 over Thomas Lake/Nikita Larichev 7-6 (3) and Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree won at No. 3 over Samuel Eden/David Gorshein 6-4.
In singles play, the Falcons took three of five to win the dual.
Army tied it up at 1-1 with a win at No. 5 as A.J. Woodman defeated Jamie Bautista 6-0, 6-0. The Falcons re-took the lead with a win at No. 2 by Mack Galvin over Diego Huttepain 6-2, 6-3.
The Black Knights tied it up at 2-2 as Paul Hendrix fell at No. 1 to Myles Conlin 6-2, 6-3.
Air Force then won at No. 4 and No. 3 singles to take the dual. Waldman won at No. 4 over Larichev 7-6 (3), 7-5 and Azuma won at No. 3 over Gorshein 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.
Air Force returns to action Feb. 28 hosting Seattle and Montana State (neutral-site in Parker).
