FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball (11-19, 5-13 MW) fell to Colorado State (20-11, 11-7 MW), 87-44, Saturday afternoon at Moby Arena. Lavelle Scottie led Air Force with 20 points and Ryan Swan notched his second-straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Colorado State made 13 three's, seven from guard Kendle Moore. Moore went 7 of 11 from long range, finishing with 21 points. David Roddy and Isaiah Stevens scored 14 points each.
Scottie played in his 126th career game, setting a school record for most games played. He also surpassed 1,500 career points with his first points, becoming the sixth in program history to reach the milestone.
Air Force trailed 42-28 at the half, as the offense struggled to get going. The Falcons out-scored CSU 46-45 in the second half but the early deficit was too big an obstacle to overcome.
Joining Scottie and Swan in double-figures was AJ Walker. Walker scored 15 points, leading the Falcons with three three's.
Air Force returns to action at the Air Force Reserve 2020 Mountain West Basketball Championship, held March 4-7 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Falcons open March 4, at noon PT, in the 8-9 seed game.
