USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Hailey Stelse joins Air Force women's tennis as part of the class of 2024, announced today by head coach Kim Gidley. Stelse joins fellow freshman Isabella Flodin as the two members of the freshman class for Falcon women's tennis.
The freshman duo began their journey as cadets on Thursday, June 25, and will be participating in Basic Cadet Training (BCT).
"Hailey is a competitor and has a quiet tenaciousness about her," Gidley said. "Being a top-ranked singles and doubles player from the Southwest Section and nationally in singles, Hailey fights to win every point and uses her fitness to hit as many balls as it takes to find a way to win. We have had a lot of gritty number one players in our program that have competed with this style of play with huge amounts of success, so we can't wait to get Hailey on the court to represent the Air Force Academy. Hailey has had success as an individual (winning state), with her team (winning state), and academically as a four time academic all-state player, so look for her to adjust well to all that the Air Force Academy has to offer."
