
Air Force Fencing All-American Alumni Spotlight: Seth Kelsey

Air Force fencing is highlighting its All-Americans that have come through the program. Our next All-American is 2003 Academy graduate Seth Kelsey. Kelsey is Air Force's lone four-time All-American. In addition, he Air Force's lone NCAA Champion, capturing the men's epee title in 2003. Kelsey is also a three-time Olympian, competing for the United States at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Kelsey finished fourth at the 2012 Olympics.

Weapon: Epee
Best result at a Championship: NCAA Champion in 2003.

- Sustainment and Force Development flight commander for the 446th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington.

While at USAFA, what was your favorite thing/memory with the fencing team:
I always looked forward to the bus trip to Santa Fe for the first tournament of the year.
After graduation, what do you miss most about the fencing team:
Fencing teams outside of the NCAA tend to be small. It was great fun to have 30 team members to share in victories.
Quote/Advice for the fencing team:
You can only fence so many quality touches each day. Put all your effort into each "ready, Fence!"
Is there anything else you want to share?:
Teammates that push you to be more disciplined, focused, and humble are the best kind of teammates.
