The Falcons will face the rival Cowboys both days, and BYU on Saturday
USAFA, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy men's swimming and diving team wraps up its 2020-21 regular season home schedule when it hosts Western Athletic Conference rival Wyoming in a dual, Friday, while squaring off with both the Cowboys and BYU, Saturday. Saturday will mark Senior Day for the four-man Class of 2021.
Friday's action begins at 5 p.m. MT, while Saturday's meet will start at 9 a.m. MT. The meets will closed to the public, but will be streamed live on the AF Falcons YouTube page. The Senior Day ceremony for Cole Armagost, Erik Orr, Brendan Richichi, and Vincent Vivadelli will take place during the first break in action on Saturday.
Both days of competition will be dual-scoring events, with 12 events on Friday and 13 on Saturday.
The last time out, AF won a two-day invite-style tri-meet over Colorado Mesa and the Colorado School of Mines, Jan. 8-9. In total, AF won 15 of the 25 events contested over the two days.
This will be the second dual against Wyoming already this season, as the two faced off Dec. 4 in a non-team scoring event. Despite not keeping a team score, AF won 13 of the 16 events contested. AF and BYU have not squared up since last season, when they met up at the Intermountain Shootout, Oct. 4-5. The Cougars claimed victory in the two-day dual, 215-177.
While this weekend marks the final week for the men inside the Cadet Natatorium, the Falcons will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 30, for the Colorado Sprint Championships. Action in Denver begins at 10 a.m. MT.
