The Falcons will face the Cowgirls for two duals, and BYU for one
USAFA, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy women's swimming and diving team continues its 2020-21 season when it hosts another meet inside the Cadet Natatorium, Jan. 15-16. The Falcons will face off with Mountain West rival Wyoming in a dual, Friday, while squaring off with both the Cowgirls and BYU, Saturday.
Friday's action begins at 5 p.m. MT, while Saturday's meet will start at noon MT. The meets will closed to the public, but will be streamed live on the AF Falcons YouTube page.
Both days of competition will be dual-scoring events, with 12 events on Friday and 13 on Saturday.
Air Force went 4-2 over two days of competition against Colorado Mesa, Mines, and Northern Colorado the last time out, Jan. 8-9. The shorthanded Falcons defeated Mesa and Mines both days, while narrowly falling to UNC both days.
This will be the second dual against Wyoming already this season, as the two faced off Dec. 4. The Cowgirls got the best of AF then, 165-135. Air Force last squared up with the Cougars last season at the Intermountain Shootout, Oct. 4-5. BYU claimed victory in the two-day dual, 273-119.
This weekend marks the second week of three-straight weekends of competition in January for the Falcons. AF will return to the pool for a dual with MW foe Colorado State, Saturday, Jan. 23. The Senior Day meet is set to begin at noon MT.
