Air Force Concludes Action at the Intermountain Shootout

GRAND JUNCTION – The men's swim and dive team concluded action at the Intermountain Shootout, Saturday afternoon, finishing third in a five-team field.
The Falcons 200 freestyle relay team made up of Wen Zhang, Matthew Lattin, Andrew Limpert and Corey Shepard took the top-spot in the event with a 1:21.50.
Zhang and Shepard also had success in the 200 freestyle (1:37.90) and the 50-yard freestyle (20.30), finishing first in the events, respectively. Zhang also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:34.94) and the 100-yard freestyle (44.77).
Gabe Bartolomei led the field in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing first with a time of 1:51.35.
Other swimmers with top-three finishes were Andrew Limpert (200-yard butterfly, 1:52.16), Adam Grimm (200-yard IM, 1:54.82), Corey Sheppard (100-yard freestyle, 45.33)
Alex Kenyon (289.60) and Jack Macceca (271.15) finished second and third, respectively, on the one-meter dive.
The men's swim and dive team continues action on October 15 as they host Nebraska-Omaha and Colorado Mines. Action is slated for 6 p.m. MT. The dive team will travel to Riverside, California, to compete in the California Baptist Diving Invite, October 16.
