Air Force Wins At Colorado State, 35-21

Air Force football (7-3, 4-2 MW) won at Colorado State (3-7, 2-4 MW), 35-21, in Mountain West action Saturday night at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. The win allowed the Falcons to hold on to the Ram-Falcon Trophy for the fifth straight meeting.
Air Force racked up 388 yards on the ground and 509 yards of total offense on the night. Junior fullback Brad Roberts ran for 151 yards on 32 carries with two touchdowns. Roberts surpassed the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the season in the game.
Sophomore running back DeAndre Hughes notched his first-career 100 yard game, rushing for 108 yards on eight carries. Quarterback Haaziq Daniels threw a pair of touchdown passes, including a school-record 92-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Brandon Lewis. Daniels finished the night with 121 yards passing.
Air Force jumped on Colorado State early with two touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead. Running back John Lee Eldridge III scored his first-career touchdown on a 16 yard run for the first score and Roberts ran it in from six yards for the second TD.
After the Rams came back with a touchdown, the Falcons scored a third touchdown on the 92-yard reception by Lewis to make it 21-7 in the first quarter.
Colorado State answered with a touchdown in the second quarter to make it 21-14 at the half.
The Falcons scored first in the third quarter to jump ahead 28-14. Receiver Dane Kinamon scored on a 20 yard reception.
The Rams answered back with a touchdown in the third to pull to within a touchdown again. Air Force capped the game off, however, with a four yard touchdown run by Roberts to go up 35-21 late in the third.
The Falcon defense held CSU scoreless in the fourth.
Defensive back Camby Goff had a career-high 10 tackles for the Falcons. Air Force picked off Ram quarterback Todd Centeio twice, with DB's Trey Bugg III and Trey Taylor making the picks. The Falcons held Centeio to 173 yards passing.
Air Force returns to action next weekend, Nov. 19, for a Friday night game at Nevada. Kick time is 6 pm PT and the game will be televised by FS1.
