COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior team captain Bailey Keith was awarded with honorable mention all-conference distinction this morning (Nov. 22), as the Mountain West announced it list of postseason awards for the 2021 volleyball season. It is the second-straight year that Keith has been recognized by the league coaches in their annual end-of-season voting.
A native of Waco, Texas, and member of the 2020 all-conference team, Keith is just the second Falcon to be mentioned in the Mountain West postseason awards more than once in a career, as she joined Akokwe Clement, who was an all-conference selection during the 2014-15 seasons.
Keith, the first Air Force player named a national semifinalist for the Senior CLASS Award – and only MW player selected this year, led the team in kills during 15 matches, including a career-high, team-best 18 in the victory over San Diego State (Nov. 11). The senior led the team with 148 kills (and a 2.47 per-set average during conference play, while also ranking third in blocks with 41 (one solo, 40 assisted) and a 0.68 per-set average. With nine kills and four blocks, she helped Air Force snap a 13-match losing streak to Wyoming on Oct. 30, and backed the Falcons to conference sweeps over Fresno State (Sept. 25) and Nevada (Oct. 21).
