USAF ACADEMY – The fourth-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated Air Force, 45-0, in Friday afternoon Big 12 dual action at Clune Arena. The Falcons drop to 2-2, 0-2 Big 12 on the season while OSU remains perfect at 5-0, 2-0 Big 12.
The Falcons' 141-pounder Cody Phippen was able to stave off Cowboy bonus points, dropping a hard fought bout, 3-1, against No. 27 Carter Young.
Second-ranked 133-pounder Daton Fix and OSU heavyweight Luke Surber recorded pins for the Cowboys while No. 1 AJ Ferrari and No. 7 Dakota Geer scored technical fall points. Oklahoma State scored major decisions at 125 and 149 to 174.
Oklahoma State makes a quick turn out to Laramie where they will compete against Wyoming in their second Big 12 dual of the day.
Next up, the Falcons travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee, to compete at the prestigious Southern Scuffle, January 1-2, at UT-Chattanooga's McKenzie Arena. Pigtail rounds begin at 10 a.m., Saturday morning.
