WHERE'S THE WOLF?
Air Force sophomore Sam Wolf, a 174-pounder on the Falcon wrestling team, will not be competing in the Falcons' season opening dual as he has been selected, along with 14 other wrestlers from across the nation, to represent the United States at the Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia. Wrestling action takes place Dec. 1-4.
LAST TIME OUT
Air Force left it all on the mat in the Big 12 dual slate opener, falling to the fourth-ranked Missouri Tigers, 39-3, Friday evening (Nov. 19), in the Hearnes Center. Mizzou has held all dual opponents to just three points on the season.
Air Force senior team captain Jared Van Vleet (133) walked away from the mat victorious, battling back from an early deficit to defeat a tough Trey Crawford with a late takedown, 6-4. Van Vleet registered his 40th career win in the victory.
