Peter Fiori, Rifle Athlete of the Week, Feb. 15

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Feb. 15 – Air Force junior Peter Fiori is this week's rifle athlete of the week.

In the rifle matches against Akron and Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, on Feb. 8, Fiori was the overall top-individual finisher with triple season-best scores of 1186 and the smallbore and air rifle events.

Scoring a season-best score of 598 in the air rifle, Fiori had a series of scores in the relay of 199, 200, and 199. Fiori's score also matched the program's air rifle record which was set in 2016. Fiori's scores for the smallbore of 588 was also the top score in the rifle.

Air Force swept the matches with a season-best score of 4697, and set a season-best team score of 2375 in the air rifle. The team shot a 2322 in smallbore.
