Air Force Fencing Opens 2021 At OSU Invite

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing opens the 2021 season at the Ohio State University Invitational, Sat.-Sun., Feb. 6-7, in Columbus, Ohio.

On Saturday, the women's team is slated to take on Denison, NJIT and Temple. The men's team takes on North Carolina and NJIT.

On Sunday, both teams face Ohio State, Notre Dame and Duke. A live stream of select matches will be available on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

"We are super excited about this meet," head coach Omar Elgeziry said. "The cadets have been waiting eagerly for almost a year but the wait is finally over. We are hungry, motivated, and prepared for the fight. Let's see what this weekend brings but I am sure it will be fun. Go Falcons!"

The OSU Invite is Air Force fencing's first competition since the NCAA West Regional back on March 7, 2020.

Saturday, Feb. 6
Air Force (W) vs. Denison - 1:30 pm CT
Air Force (M) vs. North Carolina - 1:30 pm
Air Force (M&W) vs. NJIT - 3 pm
Air Force (W) vs. Temple - 4:30 pm

Sunday, Feb. 7
Air Force (M&W) vs. Ohio State - 8 am CT
Air Force (M&W) vs. Notre Dame - 9:30 am
Air Force (M&W) vs. Duke - 11 am
