
Falcons Finish Day Two of the AF Diving Invite

Senior Cole Armagost placed third on the 3-meter
USAFA, Colo. – The Air Force Academy men's and women's diving team wrapped up action on day two of the Air Force Diving Invite Friday evening, Feb. 5, inside the Cadet Natatorium. The women competed in the 1-meter, while the men dove from the 3-meter.
For the second day in a row, the top finisher for the Falcons was senior Cole Armagost, as he took third overall on the 3-meter with a finals score of 323.95. He took second in the prelims with a solid 344.20. The other two male competitors on the day were sophomore Brett Jenkins, who placed seventh overall, and freshman Erik Pffaffenbichler, who took seventh in the consolation and 15th overall.
On the women's side, a pair of divers qualified for the consolation round in the 1-meter. Freshman Kinzie Etzelmiller placed third in the consolations to take 11th overall. Behind her was classmate Grace Treanor, who took sixth in the consis for a 14th place overall finish.
Both diving teams will be back in action tomorrow, Feb. 6, for the final day of the AF Diving Invite. Each side will compete off the platform, with the women leading things off at 10 a.m. and the men following at 1:15 p.m.
