Rifle team takes #2 at Conference SB Championships

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Feb. 6: Day one of the Patriot Rifle Conference Smallbore Championships have come to a close. The Air Force rifle team took second in the rifle with a team score of 2317. TCU won the event with 2340 points. Ohio State was third with a score of 2311, UTEP finished fourth with 2237 points.

Freshman Morgan Kreb (Colorado Springs, CO) was the Falcons' top shooter with a final score of 583. Junior Devin Schwindt (Lees Summit, MO) scored a career best, 581, in the rifle, and junior Peter Fiori followed with a 580.

Also shooting for the team was Ryan Habeck (Fort Pierre, SD), who finished the match with a 573. Sophomore Jordan Williams (Colorado Springs, CO) scored a 562.

The highest individual scores in the smallbore were claimed by TCU's Grundsøe (592), and Marsh (588).

The air rifle championships are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 7, in Columbus, Ohio.
