Layne leads Falcons on final day in San Diego

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Sophomore Isaac Layne led the Air Force golf team in the final round of the Lamkin Classic, Wednesday, March 10, at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif. Layne shot a 75 on the final day and was the top Falcon in the tournament, finishing at 234.
Junior Colter Baca shot 76 on the final day and tied with Luke Trujillo (79 on final day) for 238 in the 54-hole tournament. Jonathan Farmer came in a 240 and Kyle Spencer shot 247.
In a tournament featuring some of the nation's top teams, Air Force placed 20th at 945. UCLA won the tournament with an 868, followed by Nevada (874), Washington (875), San Diego (876), Colorado State (877) and Kansas (884).
Air Force is now idle until the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, April 5-6, in Chander, Ariz.
